riparian areas and associated uplands. The forest is comprised of

Tulip poplar (Yellow poplar) |
| White oak |
Sweet gum |
| Water oak |
Sycamore |

Old growth pine (Slash pine) |
| Eastern hop hornbeam |
|
Wildlife: Includes deer and raccoon.
Beavers were active in the interior of the site at one time, although
samples of tree girdling are old. Migrant birds such as great blue
heron use the wetlands as a stopover.
